The second issue of this extraordinary series is dedicated to the Saltwater Crocodile "Graham". Graham has been at the legendary Australia Zoo for the past 25 years. Due to his impressive size and individual strong character "Graham" as well as "Bindi" were Steve Irwin's favorite crocodiles.

In 2013 the Royal Australian Mint issued in addition to it´s classic 1 Oz. silver coin "Kangaroo", a new extraordinary series, the "Saltwater Crocodiles". This unique series was realized in cooperation with the Australia Zoo, home of the legendary "Crocodile Hunter", Steve Irwin. The first issue of this new series was dedicated to Steve Irwin's favorite crocodile "Bindi".

By his wildlife documentary series "The Crocodile Hunter", Steve Irwin achieved worldwide fame. He was an expert and one of a kind for crocodile capture and management techniques. At the age of 30 he took over the management of the "Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park" from his parents, which he re-named into Australia Zoo.

In 2006, Steve Irwin died in an accident during a TV production, while he was snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. He was hit in the chest by a Stingray's barb.
