The 2020 edition of the Wedge-tailed Eagle is the fifth design by the famous engraver John M. Mercanti. The motive of the High Relief Silver Proof coin features a magnificent Wedge-Tailed eagle swooping on its prey in the midst of a hunt. In addition the inscriptions "Wedge-Tailed Eagle", the year of issue, the fineness and the traditional Mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint are included in the design. The reverse shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The Wedge-Tailed eagle is one of the biggest eagles in the world. His impressive wings have a wingspan of up to 2.7 meters.
