The 2021 edition of the Wedge-Tailed Eagle is the sixth design by the famous engraver John M. Mercanti. The High Relief coin depicts a swooping Wedge-Tailed Eagle with a snake in its talons. The motive is framed by the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE" and "2021 5oz 9999 SILVER". The traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint is also included in the design. The reverse shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The Wedge-Tailed eagle is one of the biggest eagles in the world and Australia's largest bird of prey. Its impressive wings measure a wingspan of up to 2.7 meters. The limited High Relief Wedge-Tailed Eagle silver coin in Reverse Proof is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
