Captain Ross Smith, Lieutenant Keith Smith and Sergeants Wally Shiers and James Bennett completed the 17,910-kilometer flight in 28 days. The motive of the antique finish coin features depictions of the flight route over a mountainous landscape. In the foreground is a representation of the Vickers airplane. The design also includes the mintmark 'P' from the Perth Mint and the inscription 'CENTENARY OF FIRST FLIGHT' and 'ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA'. All coins have been individually 'antiqued' and as a result of this treatment, the appearance of each coin may vary. The unique silver coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate from the Perth Mint.
