This set includes three coins from the Australian Lunar Series III of the Perth Mint. Each coin was struck from one ounce of silver - one coin in proof quality, one coin in color and one coin with a partial gilding. The coins are dedicated to the Year of the Horse. The horse is the seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The motive of all three coins features a highly detailed depiction of a majestic mare together with her young foal. Both are shown in a dynamic galloping pose with elegantly flowing manes. In the background, imposing mountain ranges rise in harmonious contrast to the serene expanse of grasslands. The intricate design also includes the Chinese character for “Horse”, the inscription “HORSE 2026”, and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark. The reverse of the coin portrays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with inscriptions of the weight, fineness, and denomination.
