The completely new Australian Lunar Series III by the Perth Mint starts in 2020 with the 'Year of the Mouse'. The first animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar is the mouse. The small rodents are very curious and explore their surroundings daily. Thanks to their great imagination and keen intuition, mice can rely on their clever minds to memorize places, paths, obstacles, feeding spots and other things. The motive of the 99.99% pure silver coin portrays two colored mice feeding on fresh corncobs. Also included in the design are the Chinese character for 'mouse', the inscription 'MOUSE 2020' and the mintmark 'P' of the Perth Mint. Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar mouse in 2020, 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, and every 12th preceding year are said to be smart, resourceful, adaptable and kind. Their motto is 'all or nothing' and their mind is razor-sharp. They always land on their feet and immediately rise up again after falling. The colored silver coin is delivered in the original box of the mint including a certificate.
