The new issue of the Australian Lunar Series III from the Perth Mint is dedicated to the Year of the Snake in 2025 - the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The sixth issue of the 12-year Lunar III series was struck from five ounces of 99.99% pure silver. The motive of the High Relief silver coin features a detailed depiction of a coiled snake on the ground, surrounded by drooping leaves. Furthermore, the design includes the Chinese character for “snake”, the inscription “SNAKE 2025” and the Perth Mint's “P” mintmark.

The zodiac sign of the snake is said to have particularly strong intuition, wisdom, intelligence and good powers of observation. Anyone born under the sign of the snake in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, 1965 and every 12th year before that is considered to be cultured, sensitive and philosophical as well as artistically inclined.
