The 2 Oz Antique Finish coin from the Australian Lunar Series III of the Perth Mint is in 2022 dedicated to the Year of the Tiger. The tiger is the third animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The motive features an image of a tiger cub following its proud parent through a rocky and bamboo-covered terrain. Also included in the design is the traditional mint mark "P" of the Perth Mint. The reverse depicts the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the fineness and the denomination. While in the African and European region the lion is considered the "king of the jungle", this status is attributed to the tiger in the Asian region - not least because of its beauty and extraordinary strength.
