The eleventh issue of the Australian Lunar Opal Series is dedicated in 2026 to the Year of the Horse. Following the snake, the horse is the seventh of 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac calendar. Struck by the Perth Mint from 1 Oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, it incorporates an inner panel design of a horse detailed in pure Australian opal. The outer panel includes intricate patterning with depictions of marigold, a flower traditionally associated with good fortune for individuals born in the Year of the Horse. The inscription "YEAR OF THE HORSE" and the mintmark "P" of The Perth Mint complete the design. The reverse shows the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination.
