Six AC/DC albums are clocking up major milestone anniversaries in 2020 and 2021. To celebrate, the Royal Australian Mint releases this unique, electrifying silver coin and pays tribute to the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. The motive shows songwriter and lead guitarist Angus Young in full flight. Inspired by the cover artwork of some of their most popular and iconic albums other famous elements of various studio albums of the band are included in the coin design. The reverse features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue and the denomination. Angus Young is especially known for his energetic performances and his stage outfit in form of a school uniform. At the beginning of 2020 the announcement of a possible comeback of the band caused an uproar in the music scene. The limited coin struck from 99.9% silver in uncirculated quality is delivered in the original numbered box of the Royal Australian Mint including an incorporated certificate of authenticity.
