This remarkable High Relief release by the Perth Mint was struck from impressive 2 kilo of 99.99% pure silver. The motive features a detailed image of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Against a background with fishes, sea grass, corals and jellyfish, a majestic green turtle is depicted. The coin edge contains the inscriptions "GREAT BARRIER REEF" and "2021 2 KILO 9999 SILVER". The reverse shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The coin has been individually ‘antiqued’ and given an individual edge number. The Great Barrier Reef stretches more than 2,300 kilometers along the Australian coast of Queensland and is the largest coral reef ecosystem in the world.
