Description

Rare Earth
5 Oz Silver - High Relief - Patina Finish

  • With original Argyle Diamond
  • 99,99% Silver
  • Limited Mintage of only 1,000 pieces
  • Numbered Certificate
  • In original Box with Certificate of Authenticity

This spectacular coin reflects the timeless nature of the elements from which it was made. Struck by the Perth Mint from 5 ounces of pure silver, it symbolizes the creation of precious metals during an intense cosmic explosion known as supernova. As a special highlight this silver coin contains a 1.6 billion year old naturally colored gold diamond from the Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia. The motive side of the coin is in pure silver and shows an artistic representation of a star exploding into a supernova, with a golden diamond in the middle. In addition, the design includes an interpretation of flowing lava, which forms the layers of the Argyle Diamond Mine and thus the origin of the precious jewel. To give the coin its unique patina effect each coin was individually oxidised. As a result of this particular treatment, the appearance and the specific coloration of each coin will be unique. The Ian Rank Broadley Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year 2018, the weight and fineness, as well as the face value are shown on the value side of the coin. This extraordinary coin is presented in a black case and comes with a numbered certificate.
