Representing the spirit of the Olympic Games, it celebrates the individual experiences and achievements of each Australian Olympian. The motive features four athletes in the water at the Olympic discipline swimming. It is one of the oldest Olympic sports and has always been represented since the beginning of hosting the Games. Depicted behind each swimmer is the famous Japanese koi fish, a symbol of courage and strength. The inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM", "THRITY DOLLARS", "1 Kg .999 Ag" and the symbol of the Australian Olympic Team are also included in the design.
