Struck from 99.99% pure silver, this coin commemorates the the 50th anniversary of moon landing. In 1969 more than half a billion people followed live on television the first steps of Neil Armstrong on the surface of the moon. The obverse of the dome shaped coin depicts an astronaut, the lunar module and the planet Earth in the background. The earth and the surrounding stars are in color, and both glow in the dark. The reverse shows the surface of the moon and also the inscriptions "ERSTE MONDLANDUNG 21. JULI 1969" and "APOLLO 11". The collector's coin is delivered in the original box with a certificate of authenticity from the Austrian Mint.
