The High Relief silver coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. The motive is partially gold-plated and refined with dark ruthenium and features a detailed depiction of the famous goddess of maternal creative energy. To her left is the majestic tiger with which she is often depicted, and in her eight hands she holds the characteristic symbols from Hindu mythology. These symbols include a conch, bow and arrow, a lotus flower, a disc of Vishnu and the trident of Shiva. The background is decorated with numerous floral ornaments. The reverse shows further floral elements as well as the coat of arms of Cameroon, the denomination, the year of issue, the weight and the fineness. Durga is considered the most influential goddess in Hinduism and is regarded as the mother of the universe. The incarnations of the many-armed goddess include Kali, Bhagvati, Rajeswari and Gauri.
