The uniquely shaped silver coin is dedicated to one of the most famous soft drinks in the world - Pepsi®. The innovative coin was struck from 6 grams of silver in the shape of a Pepsi® bottle cap in retro design. The coin depicts the so-called "Pepsi Globe" in the typical red, blue and white color scheme without any lettering. The reverse shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad - a shield held by a goat and a lion - as well as the weight, fineness, denomination and year of issue. The Pepsi-Cola® was developed in 1893 by pharmacist Caleb Bradham and is the main competitor of Coca-Cola®. The name of the drink is probably due to the enzyme pepsin. After Pepsi® faced bankruptcy several times, the company was able to regain stability in the market by consistently establishing itself as a low-cost brand.
