The 10 euro silver coin in proof quality was struck by the Monnaie de Paris from 22,2 gram of silver and is dedicated to Prince Albert I of Monaco. The motive features a portrait of the Monegasque prince in richly decorated uniform, as well as the inscription "ALBERT Ier" and the dates of birth and death "1848-1922". The reverse shows an image of the Institut de France as well as the denomination and year of issue.

Albert I was born Albert Honoré Charles Grimaldi in Paris on November 13th, 1848. The son of Charles III of Monaco and Antoinette de Mérode-Westerloo, he ruled the Principality of Monaco from 1889 until his death in June 1922. The mintage of the issue from the Human History series is limited to 2,000 pieces. The coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
