On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the completion of the Pont Neuf bridge, the Monnaie de Paris has issued this silver coin in proof quality. The design depicts a section of the historic bridge over the Seine in Paris. Pont Neuf was built in 1578-1607 and is the oldest bridge in the capital of France that has been preserved in its original state. The reverse features the outline of the country of France, the inscriptions "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ" and "LES MONUMENTS DE FRANCE", the denomination "1 1/2 EURO" and the year of issue "2007". The limited commemorative silver coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
