In honor of Asterix's 60th Anniversary France issued this silver commemorative coin in proof quality. The motive of the coin features the development of the character 'Dogmatix' from the creation of the comic to nowadays. The background depicts speech bubbles, which refer to the series. Dogmatix is Obelix's loyal companion and an environmentally concerned dog that starts howling in case someone dares to cut a tree. The reverse of the coin illustrates the portrait of the world famous Gaul Asterix with his winged helmet.
