This silver coin is part of the new coin series by the Monnaie de Paris, dedicated in honor of sites and landmarks listed as UNESCO World Heritage. The 2008 issue is dedicated to one of the most famous landmarks in the world - the Grand Canyon National Park. The motive of the coin features the impressive national park and the Colorado River. Above the design is the inscription "GRAND CANYON" depicted. The reverse shows the UNESCO building in Paris, the official UNESCO logo, and the year of issue and denomination. Also included in the design is the inscription "ORGANISATION DES NATIONS UNIES POUR L'ÉDUCATION, LA SCIENCE ET LA CULTURE". The Euro silver coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
