On the occasion of the 1st year of Jacques Chirac's death, the Monnaie de Paris issued this silver coin in proof quality. Chirac, who was born on November 29th, 1932 and died on September 26th, 2019 at the age of 86, was the fifth President of France and governed the country from 1995 to 2007. The motive of the coin depicts the politician in a solemn pose commemorating his election as President in 1995. His portrait is surrounded by elements that have shaped his history. His seal refers to his two presidential mandates and Chupicaro. The emblem of the museum on Quai Branly relates to Chirac's passion for the primitive arts. The inscriptions "Jacques Chirac", "1932 - 2019" and the year of issue 2020 are also included in the design. The reverse shows the denomination and the inscription "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE". The limited commemorative coin from France is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
