With the series French Excellence, the Monnaie de Paris celebrates the tradition of French craftsmanship. The French mint has issued this silver coin with ceramic insert in honor of the Porcelain Manufacture De Sèvres. The Manufacture Royale de Porcelaine de Sèvres is one of the most important European manufactories for the production of frit porcelain. It was founded in 1738 in Vincennes as a private company, and since 1756 it has been based in Sèvres. The ornate motive of the coin was provided with a ceramic insert depicting a portrait of Queen Marie-Antoinette. The year of issue is also included in the design. The limited 10 Euro silver coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
