This silver coin is part of the coin series by the Monnaie de Paris, dedicated in honor of sites and landmarks listed as UNESCO World Heritage. The 2007 issue is dedicated to one of the most famous landmarks in the world - the Great Wall of China. The motive of the coin features a section of the defensive structure dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1386-1644). The design is surrounded by Chinese writing, as well as the inscription "LA GRANDE MURAILLE DE CHINE". The reverse depicts the UNESCO building in Paris, the official UNESCO logo, and the year of issue and denomination. Also included in the design is the inscription "ORGANISATION DES NATIONS UNIES POUR L'ÉDUCATION, LA SCIENCE ET LA CULTURE". The Euro silver coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
