Issued in 2019, the 20 Euro silver coin "100 Years of Women's Suffrage" in proof quality is dedicated to the historic event on 19th January 1919. For the first time, women in Germany were able to participate in the election to the German National Assembly. This 18 gram silver proof coin features the inscription "100 JAHRE FRAUENWAHLRECHT" (100 years of womens’s suffrage) and a group of women at a demonstration. The coin motive was designed by the artist Anne Karen Hentschel from Bremen. The federal eagle, twelve European stars and the inscriptions "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND 2019", "SILBER 925", "20 EURO" and the letter "D" of the Munich mint are depicted on the value side. On the flat edge of the proof commemomarative coin is the inscription „HERAUS MIT DEM FRAUENWAHLRECHT“ (out with women’s suffrage). The "100 Years Women's Suffrage" silver coin comes in an illustrated blistercard.
