This commemorative coin is dedicated to the 300th birthday anniversary of the King of Prussia - Frederick the Great (1712-1786). The motive of the silver coin features a portrait of Frederick the Great, also known as Frederick II. The design is surrounded by the inscription "300. GEBURTSTAG FRIEDRICH DER II 1712-1786" and the famous quote: "IN MEINEM STAATE KANN JEDER NAH SEINER FASSON SELIG WERDEN". The reverse of the coin features the Federal eagle, the lettering "Bundesrepublik Deutschland", the year 2012, the denomination and the fineness as well as the mint mark 'A' and twelve European stars.
