This 20 Euro silver coin is dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of the gifted storyteller Hieronymus Carl Friedrich Baron Munchausen (1720-1797). The motive designed by the artist Frantisek Chochola features the famous ride on the cannonball in color. The perspective depth effect and the clarity of the design make the ride look like a flight through space and time. The reverse shows the Federal Eagle, the inscription "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the denomination, the mint mark "A" of the German Mint in Berlin, the year 2020 and the twelve stars of Europe. Hieronymus Carl Friedrich Baron Munchausen was a German nobleman from the Electorate of Braunschweig-Lüneburg.
