The “Star Wars” silver miniature from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to C-3PO™. The extraordinary figure struck from 150 grams of silver was designed by 3D sculptor Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra. It shows the droid C-3PO™. The copyright is located on a metal plate in the base. The figure measures approx. 9.4 cm.

C-3PO, also known as Threepio, is an iconic droid from the Star Wars universe, created by George Lucas. This humanoid robot, characterized by its golden shell and stiff movements, is best known as a protocol droid. It was originally built and programmed by Anakin Skywalker to be able to speak in and understand over six million different forms of communication. Its main role is to help with translation and diplomatic communication, making it an indispensable companion in the galaxy. C-3PO is known for his often timid and fussy personality, making him a humorous contrast to his more robust and adventurous droid partner R2-D2.
