The seventh edition of the Czech Mint's limited Solar System Series is dedicated to Jupiter. Like the previous editions in the series - Sun (1.), Moon (2.), Earth (3.), Mercury (4.), Venus (5.) and Mars (6.) - the coin has been refined with the "Lunar dust effect", which is a combination of proofing, sandblasting and laser. Besides Jupiter, other planets of our solar system with their orbits are depicted on the motive of the silver coin. The gigantic whirlwind in the atmosphere of the planet, which measures 15,800 kilometers in diameter and is also known as the "Great Red Spot", is also clearly visible. The design is completed by the inscription "JUPITER". The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, framed by orbits and planets. Jupiter is the largest and most massive planet in our solar system and was named after the Roman father of the gods. Despite its impressive size and mass, Jupiter rotates extremely fast - it takes only 9 hours and 55 minutes to complete one revolution. The number of its moons is also remarkable: So far, at least 69 moons are known - the four largest and best known ones are the so-called "Galilean moons" - Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. The limited silver proof coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
