The 10th and final edition of the Czech Mint's limited "Solar System Series" is dedicated to Neptune. Like the previous editions in the series - Sun (1.), Moon (2.), Earth (3.), Mercury (4.), Venus (5.), Mars (6.), Jupiter (7.), Saturn (8.) and Uranus (9.) - the coin has been refined with the "Lunar dust effect", which is a combination of proofing, sandblasting and laser. Besides Neptune, other planets of our solar system with their orbits are depicted on the motive of the silver coin. The design is completed by the inscription "NEPTUNE". The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, framed by orbits and planets. Since Pluto was deprived of planet status, Neptune is the outermost planet of our solar system. It was discovered in 1846 and named after the Roman god of the sea and flowing waters. Because of the great distance to the sun, temperatures of -201°C to -218°C prevail on Neptune. In addition, there are wind speeds of up to 2,100 km/h - making Neptune not only one of the coldest, but also one of the stormiest places in our solar system. The limited Neptune silver proof coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
