- 1 ounce of 99.9% Silver
- Mintage only 800 pieces

The eighth edition of the Czech Mint's limited "Solar System Series" is dedicated to Saturn. Like the previous editions in the series - Sun (1.), Moon (2.), Earth (3.), Mercury (4.), Venus (5.), Mars (6.) and Jupiter (7.) - the coin has been refined with the "Lunar dust effect", which is a combination of proofing, sandblasting and laser. Besides Saturn, other planets of our solar system with their orbits are depicted on the motive of the silver coin. The design is completed by the inscription "SATURNUS". The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, framed by orbits and planets. Saturn is a gas planet - mainly consisting of hydrogen and helium - and the 6th planet of our solar system. The most striking feature of the giant planet is its strongly pronounced ring system, which consists of countless chunks of rock and ice as well as dust and small stones. Saturn needs only 10 hours and 14 minutes for one turn around its own axis - to circle the sun, however, almost 30 years are necessary. Saturn is surrounded by numerous moons - until today 82 satellites could be counted. The moons Titan, Rhea & Enceladus belong to the most famous satellites of Saturn. The limited silver proof coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
