To celebrate this year's Batman™ Day on September 17, a Mega Chibi coin has been released for the first time within the New Zealand Mint's Chibi Coin Series. Struck from two ounces of 99.9% silver in proof quality, the coin recreates the superhero Batman™ in his iconic Batmobile™. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters. The unusual Chibi shape makes this silver coin a highlight for every DC Comics™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is limited to only 2,000 pieces worldwide.
