The fifth issue of the Harry Potter™ Chibi Series from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to Rubeus Hagrid™. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters. The unusual Chibi-shape makes this silver coin a highlight for every Harry Potter™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is limited to only 2,000 pieces worldwide. Hagrid™, the friendly gamekeeper of Hogwarts™, is to be recognized in particular by his hair mane and his long, shaggy beard. As a half-giant he is much taller than the other characters from the Harry Potter™ book and film series.
