The sixth issue of the Harry Potter™ Chibi series from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to Severus Snape™. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters. The unusual Chibi shape makes this silver coin a highlight for every Harry Potter™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is limited to only 2,000 pieces worldwide. Severus Snape™ was a half-blood wizard and professor at Hogwarts™, where he taught Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Due to his shady behavior and dark appearance, it was long suspected that Snape™ was fighting for the dark side - until it turned out that he was acting as a very loyal double agent on behalf of Albus Dumbledore™.
