The fourth issue of the STAR TREK™ - Chibi Series is dedicated to USS Enterprise crew member Montgomery "Scotty" Scott™. The coin was struck by the New Zealand Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters. The unusual Chibi shape makes this silver coin a highlight for every STAR TREK™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is strictly limited to only 2,000 pieces worldwide. The show tells the story of the spaceship USS Enterprise, which is on a mission to explore alien worlds and the infinity of space. Montgomery Christopher Jorgensen Scott, better known as "Scotty", was the highly skilled chief engineer of the USS Enterprise and USS Enterprise-A under Captain Kirk™. Later, he became head of the Starfleet's Corps of Engineers. The Chibi coin shows "Scotty" in his red Starfleet uniform. Each color in the Starfleet corresponds to a specific class or group, red represents the field of engineering, security and communications.
