This STAR WARS™ coin was issued by the New Zealand Mint to coincide with the launch of the new series "The Book of Boba Fett™", which will be broadcast exclusively on Disney+ from December 29, 2021. The series is a spin-off of the successful first STAR WARS™ original series "The Mandalorian™". The plot revolves around the life of bounty hunter Boba Fett™, following the events of the second season of "The Mandalorian™".

The second release in the new The Book of Boba Fett™ Chibi-Series is dedicated to Fennec Shand™. The coin was struck by the New Zealand Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters. The unusual Chibi shape makes this silver coin a highlight for every STAR WARS™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is strictly limited to only 2,000 pieces worldwide. Fennec Shand™ is an elite mercenary who had been working as a bounty hunter and assassin. When she was left for dead in the Dune Sea of Tatooine after a failed mission to take out the Mandalorian™, Boba Fett™ saved her life. She then offered her service to him and helped Boba Fett™ take over Jabba's palace on Tatooine. Fennec™ possesses a modified MK sniper rifle through which she takes out her targets. The coin features the bounty hunter in her iconic battle suit, including the orange helmet. The Fennec Shand™ Chibi Coin is delivered in the original box from the New Zealand Mint including a certificate of authenticity.
