"May the Fourth be with you" - On the occasion of the annual "STAR WARS™ Day" on May the 4th, the New Zealand Mint released this special edition in the STAR WARS™ collection. The coin struck from two ounces of 99.9% silver is dedicated to the iconic antagonist Jabba the Hutt™. The special characteristic of the coin is the shape in the "Chibi Art" style - an effect by which a strong belittlement of the depicted characters is achieved. The unusual Chibi shape makes this Jabba the Hutt™ silver coin a highlight for every STAR WARS™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Public Seal of Niue, as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is limited to only 999 pieces worldwide.

Jabba Desilijic Tiure, better known as Jabba the Hutt, is the main antagonist in the Star Wars Episode VI "Return of the Jedi" from 1983. He is the leader of a criminal organization based on the desert planet Tatooine and belongs to the species of Hutts, which are characterized especially by their snail-like body shape and obesity. The uniquely shaped coin is delivered in the original box from the New Zealand Mint including a certificate of authenticity.
