The fourth issue of the DC Comics™ Series 60th Anniversary Justice League™ is dedicated to Superman™. The coin was struck by the New Zealand Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver. The motive features an image of the so-called 'Man of Steel' in color as well as the Superman™ Logo. The design is completed by the background engraving of Superman™ flying over the city of Metropolis™. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and the year of issue. Superman™ had its first appearance in 1938. Originally native to the planet Krypton and equipped with super powers, Superman™ has dedicated himself to the fight for justice on Earth. Together with the other founding members Wonder Woman™, Aquaman™, Flash™, Green Lantern™, Batman™ and Martian Manhunter™ he belongs to the Justice League™ since 1960. The limited Superman™ silver proof coin is delivered in an acrylic coin case and the original Superman™ packaging. A certificate of authenticity from the New Zealand Mint is also included.
