The Harry Potter™ Book Cover series from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to the famous Harry Potter books. The rectangular coin was struck from two ounces of 99.9% silver in proof quality and features an image of the cover of the third issue entitled “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. At the center of the cover are Harry Potter and Hermione riding the majestic hippogriff called Buckbeak. The silhouette of the dreaded Sirius Black can also be seen. The reverse shows the official Niue coat of arms as well as the year of issue “2025”, the denomination “THREE DOLLARS”, the copyright and the individual numbering of the coin.

“Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” is the third volume in the popular book series by J.K. Rowling. In this installment, the story of the young wizard Harry Potter continues during his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The plot begins with Harry, who is spending the summer vacation with his unpleasant relatives, the Dursleys, getting into trouble when he uses his magic outside of school. The rectangular silver proof coin in color is delivered in the original box of the New Zealand Mint including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
