The series "Harry Potter™ - Magical Creatures" from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to the magnificent creatures from the magical world of Harry Potter™. The rectangular coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality and features a depiction of the Acromantula Aragog. The appearance of the gigantic poisonous spider corresponds to its appearance in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets™”. The Forbidden Forest, where Aragog has been staying since his escape from Hogwarts, is indicated in the background. In addition, three dark blue zirconia stones have been incorporated into the upper part of the coin. The reverse features the coat of arms of Niue as well as the year of issue “2025” and the denomination “TWO DOLLARS”.

Aragog is distinguished by his imposing appearance, which is characterized by his oversized height and four pairs of eyes.
