To mark the 100th anniversary of Warner Brothers, the New Zealand Mint issues the "Looney Tunes™ Mashups" series. The officially licensed coin struck from 2 ounces of 99.9% silver in proof quality is the third issue in the series. The shape of the coin is intended to be reminiscent of the official Warner Brothers logo. The motive in color features the various members of the Looney Tunes™ dressed up in the iconic Superman™ cape, reminiscing of the 1978 film classic "Superman", with the world-famous abbreviation "WB" for Warner Brothers in the background. The reverse depicts the Public Seal of Niue as well as the anniversary logo, denomination, year of issue, weight, fineness and official copyright.

Since its founding in Hollywood on the 4th of April 1923, Warner Bros Entertainment Inc, previously known as Warner Brothers or Warner Bros., has been one of the world's most famous US film and television companies. With Al Jolson as "The Jazz Singer", the company introduced the first sound film to the screens and sealed its entrepreneurial success with the iconic Looney Tunes™ animated films.
