The silver coin of the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to the cartoon character Wile E. Coyote™. Struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver in Antique Finish, the motive features a die-cut of the popular character from the Looney Tunes™ family, giving the impression that the clumsy coyote has punched through the coin. Also included in the design is the ACME logo, which has been colored to accentuate the creative design of the coin. The reverse features the official Niue coat of arms as well as the weight, fineness, denomination, year of issue and copyright.

Wile E. Coyote™ appears almost exclusively with the Road Runner™. The hungry coyote chases the Road Runner through desert-like landscapes - but his attempts to catch the exceptionally fast bird are always unsuccessful and end with the coyote briefly harming himself. Communication between the two characters is wordless and with the help of signs, which are used to express themselves. The mintage is limited to 2,000 pieces. The Looney Tunes - Wile E.
