This Antique Finish silver coin is dedicated to the gunslinger Billy the Kid, who is one of the most famous figures in Western history. Struck by the New Zealand Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver, the motive features an image of a post-processed photograph of Billy the Kid, which is believed to have been taken around 1880. Also included in the design is the inscription "OUTLAW BILLY THE KID - WILD WEST." A distinctive feature of the coin is three bullet holes arranged around the portrait. The reverse presents the official coat of arms of Niue as well as the year of issue "2023" and the denomination "TWO DOLLARS".

Billy the Kid, whose civil name was William H. Bonney, went down in the history of the Wild West as one of the most ruthless gunslingers, who is said to have committed numerous murders. His biography is as legendary as it is mysterious - among other things, his early death by the bullet of Sheriff Pat Garrett is still doubted today. The mintage is limited to 1,999 pieces worldwide.
