The twelfth issue of the Love is Precious Series of the New Zealand Mint is, like all issues of this series, dedicated to love. The motive features two macaws representing a couple in love. They are surrounded by numerous brightly colored exotic flowers. The design is completed by a red heart-shaped zirconia, which is embedded in the silver coin. Around the edge, the inscription "LOVE IS PRECIOUS" is engraved and complemented by other floral elements. The reverse shows the portrait of King Charles III, the denomination and the year of issue. The limited silver coin is delivered in the heart-shaped original box including a certificate of authenticity from the New Zealand Mint.
