The fourth issue of the Comix™ series is dedicated to the very first Spider-Man™ comic. It is the first officially licensed issue from the Marvel™ superhero universe in the series. The motive in color faithfully reproduces Amazing Fantasy #15. To further enhance the visual impression of a comic book, the coin was minted in a rectangular format with the typical color scheme also paying tribute to the comic book effect. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, year of issue, weight, fineness and copyright.

Published on the 1st of August 1962 by Marvel and comic book writer Stan Lee, the story of Amazing Fantasy #15 tells the journey of young Peter Parker's transformation into the superhero Spider-Man™. The comic is considered the origin and first appearance of Peter Parker as Spider-Man™. This issue is one of the most expensive and sought-after comic books in the world. In 2021, an original issue was auctioned off for an incredible 3.6 million US dollars.
