Spider-Man is one of the best-known and most popular superhero characters in the Marvel universe. The protagonist behind the mask of Spider-Man is Peter Parker, a teenage orphan boy who lives with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City. Peter is an intelligent and shy schoolboy who is bitten by a radioactive spider one day. This bite gives him superhuman abilities, including tremendous strength, agility, the ability to climb walls, and a so-called “spider sense” that warns him of danger. Venom is a famous character from the Marvel universe who first appeared in 1984. It is an alien symbiote that bonds with a human host. The most famous host is Eddie Brock, a journalist who gains superhuman powers and abilities by bonding with Venom. Venom is known for his distinctive black appearance with a large white spider symbol on his chest. Although he often appears as Spider-Man's antagonist, he is sometimes portrayed as an anti-hero. The coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the New Zealand Mint.
