The combination of coins contained in the set is selected at random. The coins were each struck from one ounce of silver in proof quality and feature Major League Baseball designs in color. The coins from the set with a mintage of 40 were partially gilded. A total of 20 coins from the entire selection were struck from a 1/4 ounce of gold. Each of the coins in the set is individually numbered.
