The second issue of the new "Faces of the First Order™" series is dedicated to the Stormtrooper™. The shape of the coin replicates the iconic helmet of the Stormtrooper™ in original color. The First Order Stormtrooper™ units were modelled after the original Stormtrooper Corps of the Galactic Empire and the Grand Army of the Republic. They operated as an infantry division under the First Order Army and had an almost identical appearance to their predecessors. As part of the distinctive white armour, the Stormtrooper™ helmet not only provides protection to its wearers, but also serves as an air filter and communication system, among other functions. Struck by the New Zealand Mint from 1 ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality, the uniquely shaped Stormtrooper™ STAR WARS™ coin is limited to only 10,000 pieces worldwide.
