The PCGS grading scale is based on numbers 1-70 of the Sheldon scale and is the guideline for coins to be graded. Since then, the PCGS standard has stood for the reliable protection and assurance of the collector and for the highest precision in determining the value of coins. The entire mintage of these coins has been certified by PCGS as PR-70. All coins that did not meet this standard were destroyed and re-struck to ensure the highest quality. The design shows Lady Liberty carrying a shield and sword, which are emblematic of strength, integrity and security. The words "PCGS" are embossed on the shield and the rising sun can be seen in the background. Furthermore, the inscriptions "35TH ANNIVERSARY" and "VALUE - LIQUIDITY - SECURITY" as well as the dates "1986" and "2021" are included in the design. The reverse features an eagle flying over a wooded landscape, as well as the denomination, year of issue, weight and fineness.
