There are several Lunar series available: They unite the popular representation of the zodiac motives of the Chinese lunar calendar. Around the Globe they are very popular to collectors. The Republic of Rwanda first issued the Lunar Series in 2017 for the Year of the Rooster. 2019 is the lunar year of the pig at the Chinese zodiac signs. The coin is embossed in mosaic design and shows a pig as well as the Chinese symbol for the year of the pig. On the outer edge of the coin are the inscriptions "1 oz FINE SILVER 999", "2019" and "LUNAR OUNCE". On the value side, the state emblem of Rwanda can be seen, in Swahili, the name of the Rwandan National Bank can be read.
