The silver coin is dedicated to the James Bond movie - The Man with the Golden Gun™. James Bond™ is a fictional British Secret Service Agent - also known as 007™. He first appeared on the screen in 1962 with the film "Dr. No™". Almost 60 years later, the adventures of James Bond™ still entertain the audiences around the world. The coin was struck from a 1/2 ounce of 99.99% pure silver and is limited to only 12,007 pieces worldwide. The motive features Bond, portrayed by Roger Moore, with his gun drawn, as well as the iconic Bond 007 gun logo, a stylized gun barrel and the movie title. The reverse depicts the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, fineness and year of issue. The Man with the Golden Gun™ is the ninth James Bond film adaptation released in 1974. Like its predecessors, The Man with the Golden Gun™ is based on the novel by author Ian Fleming. In the movie, MI6 receives a golden bullet engraved with "007." The secret service suspects Francisco Scaramanga as the sender, who apparently challenges Bond to a duel. Bond follows the trail of the golden bullet and arrives in Hong Kong, where Scaramanga shoots the scientist Gibson, the inventor and owner of the Solex generator, and steals the generator. Bond is given the mission to recapture the generator. He is assisted by Andrea Anders and his ally Mary Goodnight.
